Ad Álgea
Ad Álgea is the title of the first solo theorbo recital recorded by Josep Maria Martí Duran. It is also a shared project, with a text in which the writer Ramón Andrés evokes the historical and mythological sources of the music, and a design by Marta Cerdà, a visual homage to the theorbo.
«If we could accept that, sometimes, a single instrument holds a large part of music, we would see that our universe can be explained in a few orders of strings. This does not make us smaller. It only shows the tension we are, the pulse we need in order to walk among the worlds born of a resonance.»
